LENA S. BARNETT received her A.B. degree, cum laude, with Honors in History, from Muhlenberg College and earned her J.D. degree from the University of Maryland School of Law. Before opening her private practice more than fifteen years ago, Ms. Barnett was an Associate with the New York based international law firm Fink, Weinberger, Fredman, Berman, Lowell & Fensterheim.

Ms. Barnett is an Adjunct Professor of the Academy of Multidisciplinary Practice, Inc. and Senior Faculty of the Estate and Wealth Strategies Institute at Michigan State University. These institutions are the first-ever collaborative effort by business, academia, and government delivering comprehensive solutions to estate and wealth transfer planning professionals and sound financial counsel to their clients.

Ms. Barnett is a Fellow of the Esperti Peterson Institute for Global Wealth Strategies Planning. The Institute is a laboratory of selected Fellows who research and create new professional planning models, protocols, and strategies. The Esperti Peterson Institute successfully combines scholarship, study, research, formal instruction, publishing, and an internationally known speaker's bureau to develop and disseminate a full range of interrelated, innovative strategies that allow successful individuals and families preserve and enhance their wealth.

She has been a lecturer & author of continuing legal education seminars for the Montgomery-Prince George's County, Maryland Continuing Legal Education Institute, Montgomery County Maryland Bar Foundation, & the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys.
