Lena Barnett Graduates from Leadership Montgomery

On June 18, 2005, Lena Barnett graduated from Leadership Montgomery as a Member of the Class of 2005. The graduation marked her completion of a rigorous 9 month program that is designed to train current and emerging leaders to be community trustees.

The program provided an unusual depth and breadth of knowledge about various aspects of Montgomery County, MD including land use, public safety, transportation, education, art and humanities, and the many roles of the various levels of government. The impact of philanthropy was also covered in this program. All of the topics are designed to show different types of leadership.

Leadership Montgomery’s Mission is to bring together current and emerging leaders to make Montgomery County a better place to live and work. Leadership Montgomery achieves this by building a diverse group of informed community trustees who create collaborations and partnerships to impact community needs.

Ms. Barnett intends to remain active as a Graduate and Member of Leadership Montgomery.
